Pretty Pink October~Faith Doll-Pray for A Cure~

Marilyn Monroe-Pretty in Pink

Happy Tuesday Sweet Friends,

Happy Pink October! It's Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM) is an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure. The campaign also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer. Cancer is not a subject that many of us want to talk about. It's a devastating disease that no one should ever have to deal with. But sadly it exists and it's up to us to fight and win the battle.

And let's not forget that male breast cancer, which is rare, is generally overlooked. In 2009 the male breast cancer advocacy groups Out of the Shadow of Pink, A Man's Pink, and the Brandon Greening Foundation for Breast Cancer in Men joined together to globally establish the third week of October as "Male Breast Cancer Awareness Week".

I believe that someday they will find a cure. Never give up, keep hope alive and think positive. Remember that "Nothing is Impossible for God" Luke 1:37.

I also want to share two new pink items in honor of Pink October. Here is a sweet shabby pink pumpkin and a cute doll.
Shabby Pink Rose Pumpkin~

Faith Doll-Pray for a Cure~

I created this doll thinking about all the beautiful children, sisters, mothers, grandmothers and women of the world that have gone through so much to fight against cancer. Many have lost their hair as a result. This doll is called "Faith". Her name is a word I strongly believe in. With faith, you can move mountains. With faith, you can conquer the world and with faith you can destroy cancer. This doll has no hair, but I think that she is still beautiful regardless. And so are all the women out there that are in this situation. I hope that this doll brings a bit of joy and encouragement to all. I will also be creating boy dolls. :)

Both items are listed for sale in my boutique. Here is a direct link for pricing and description.
