I Believe - A 9/11 Tribute

I can't believe that nine years have gone by since they attacked the U.S. on September 11,2001. I remember it as if it were yesterday. I was living in New York at the time. My husband was on his way to work while I was home with my two children. He called to let me know that a plane had hit the World Trade Center. I immediatetly thought it was an accident. Little did I know that it was a deliberate attack. When the second plane hit I was terrified. I thought I was watching a bad movie on tv. I was in total shock when the first tower fell to the ground. It was horrifying. All I could do is scream and cry in my living room. My husband was stuck in Manhattan since they had shut all transportation down. So he had to walk all the way home. Then I couldn't believe that yet another plane hit the Pentagon. And then another plane had gone down in Pennsylvania. This could not be real. How could this happen in the United States? How could anyone do this to innocent people? So many perished that day. People that did not deserve this. The only good thing that happened that day is that the terrorists who hijacked the planes also perished. They no longer exist. And for that I am grateful.

Nine years later I still cry when I see pictures or videos or simply remember that day. How can you forget?? You just can't. You can go on and life goes on,but you never forget. I know I never will. Today I want to honor all the firefighters,policemen and all those who gave their lives to save others. May God Bless their souls. May God bless their families. And May God Bless America. I pray that this will never,ever happen again.

The video above is sad,but it speaks the truth. If you lived far away it's not easy to understand the tragedy than if you lived in New York City. This video will give you an idea of what that day was like.
