Summertime Fun~

I love this time of the year. It's time to take a break and enjoy the summer. I love sleeping a little longer and spending more time with my kids. I also love that I have time to get my creative juices flowing. I kid you not when I say that I am forever thinking of new things to create. I have lists of things to do, but have to admit that I have not done many of them. That is going to change. Now that I have more time, I am ready to work harder and bring you new creations that I believe you will enjoy.

Ruffled Heart~

Here is my first ruffle heart shaped pillow. It was so much work, but worth it. I made strips of ruffles, then sewed them all on until I covered the pillow. The top has a sheer pink bow and I added a cute faux piece of jewelry in the center. I feel like keeping it for myself, but I have enough pillows in my home already. :) So it's available for sale if you are interested in it.

I also made several Victorian boot shaped sachets and a cute ballerina sachet. Each of them have 4 heaping scoops of lavender. They smell wonderful! You can use them anywhere you like. You can even hang them as an ornament on your tree for the holidays. It's all up to you.

And finally I promised a couple of weeks ago that I would show you the after pic of the cloth dolls I would add faces to and dress up.
Here is "La Familia".

I thought that would be a cute name for them. I know that there are a lot of little girls out there that love dolls so this might be a perfect gift. I am a big doll lover too, so I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
